MIKE T MICRO TUNER IN v 10
MIKE T MICRO TUNER IN v 10
i have been really thinking about adding a 1715 tuner in my 01 SD V-10.gas engine. has anyone installed one in their V-10? if so did you notice a big increase in aceleration? i won't be doing much towing and although this is a strong engine quicker aceleration never hurts.i rember mike t said something to the effect that it will create a big difference in the V-10. mike if you read this thread please give me your opinion. also all other opions will be apprecited! ps mike i tried calling but you were busy which is understandable. thans to all.
Hi jer98,
Use the search feature right here and you can instantly retrieve and read all my previous posts about our tuning for the V10's, in which I've covered everything anyone could want to know probably about 2000 times or more.
And so have others, what others who have used it in their V10's have had to say - all that info is right here and easily read by using the search feature.
Between all that info and what's on our web site about the 1715, that covers it.
It's very simple - if you want another 30+ HP, then the 1715 Micro Tuner is by far the simplest, easiest and cheapest way to get it. Period.
Don't expect another 30 HP (which is in round numbers 10% more power) to make a "big difference in acceleration" in a 3-4 ton truck - a 10% power gain isn't going to suddenly transform a 3-4 ton truck into a "performance" machine.
What feels like a "big difference" to some feels like less to others, and vice-versa - so just remember that you'll see an easy half-second or more off your 0-60 & 1/4 mile times, to give you a frame of reference in universal terms.
The 1715 Micro Tuner is simply the single best bang for the buck performance enhancement you can make to that vehicle - there is no other way you will get that kind of power gain and performance improvement for the same or less than the cost of the Micro Tuner - and *that* is why so many people use them, because it's simply the best bang for the buck.
Best of luck whatever you decide,
