quick question mike
quick question mike
Hi Mike......A friend of mine has a 95 chevy truck...with several mods... he has cold air intake exhaust and several other mods. I went to your site to look for your chips but could find no price. Is there a site he can go to (chevy forum) to talk to you about this. Thanks for the help.
Hi S&B,
Yes, we can still provide chips for those pre-OBD-II GM's like your friend's truck - no, we don't participate on any GM-oriented sites.
The way your friend can talk with us about this is to call us at our number listed below & we'll be happy to take care of him. Those 1995 GM trucks especially are tuned so conservatively that we can get big power gains - he'll love what we do for his truck.
Thanks for checking with us!

Hi S&B,
Thanks, that's very kind of you!
Speaking of our fan kit - we just did a major revision to our installation manual, and I think you'll find it incredibly detailed & helpful for the installation - very step-by-step oriented with thorough explanations, etc. If you have any questions before, during or after your installation, just give us a call.
One quick tip on that kit - as we point out in the manual, please take the time to read the entire manual *before* starting the installation - makes things go a lot smoother when you know what's coming up next. I mention this simply because some people tend to just jump right in and don't read it over first - just start turning wrenches with the manual on Page 1. While that works, it's smoother & actually quicker if you'll spend 15-20 minutes reading the manual thoroughly and familiarizing yourself with the kit's components, and the general steps of installation, etc. up front before just jumping right in - you'll see what I mean when you read it, & you'll love the results.
Have fun,

Have fun,
Ya the instruction manual was very helpful. The only thing i had trouble with was finding the a/c power feed wire at the junction block. It was supposed to be the gray with a white tracer. I checked it and had no power there with the key on. But afterwords i figured out the engine has to be running in order to have power on it. So the manual was right. Well anyway the fans were a great mod. Not as much as the tuner but definetly more than the intake. My next mod is an exhaust mod i think. You (Mike) probably dont remember guiding me on the exhast on my truck buy you helped me a little over a year ago. And my exhaust guy ( a total moron by the way) would not run my exhaust clear to the back of my truck. He said he didnt have any room. Bull i know. Well anyway I used magnaflow muffs. and a crossover x-pipe. And i did lose a little low end power. And i believe it is because of my short exhaust system. So in the future i am going to have a competent exhaust man run my tailpipes all the way out the back. Now they are in front of the rear tires. Well thanks again for the fans Mike. I think we can speak for all of us here on the forums when i say......We appreciate the research you put into the mods you sell us. Thanks again.
Hi S&B,
Yes, you have to have the ignition on for there to be power there, you're absolutely right. The idea being, it's got power when the ignition is on, but NOT when the ignition is off - also, no power present unless the HVAC control **** is in some position other than Floor, Panel, or Off. Glad you got it all taken care of correctly, excellent!
Whenever you want to give some more thought to your exhaust, feel free to call us & Ill try to spend some time with you going over your proposed changes, and then offering any suggestions if we feel there might be a better route, etc. - we'll be happy to help you on that if we can, & best of luck with that.
