Walbro 255 pump and my computer?
Walbro 255 pump and my computer?
For my near future engine modifications, I am going to be in need of a Walbro 255 L/hr fuel pump. Until then, Im running a mild 6psi and otherwise stock engine. I was wondering if I can go ahead and buy the pump and install it, or will it have to be installed at the same time of my engine rebuild and custom tune?
Also, where can i get one of these in tank pumps for cheap?
Thanks!

Hi Rick,
Yes, you can run a single 255 lph Walbro, & we carry those parts just like we carry virtually anything else for performance in these vehicles, from air filters to superchargers to clutches & everything else in between.
When you order the fuel pump from us, we also include the installation kit, etc., so you don't have to get additional parts when the fuel pump arrives before you can actually install it.

Awesome! Ill be calling hopefully with in a few days when I get my paycheck. Just wondering, does the pump by any chance come with installation instructions? I have never dropped the fuel tank, I have the disconnect tools, but other than running it close to empty, I dont know what to do.
Thanks!

Hi Rick,
Those aftermarket fuel pumps generally do not give you a set of step-by-step instructions for the F-150 specifically, as many different FoMoCo vehicles use the same in-tank pumps - it's a pretty easy procedure and is virtually the same for most FoMoCo's, usually only the pump itself & the "bucket" (if used) varies, but the mounting & installation of the pump is basically the same, and you'll see that as soon as you drop the fuel tank & open the cap (which just screws off).
We always include the complete installation kit as well with our fuel pumps, and it's simple to do - I can go over that with you, and there are also a number of how-to's here on the message boards that you can use the search feature to retrieve and print out.
Don't let this scare you, replacing the in-tank fuel pump is not a tough job, you just have to use some common sense - you know, don't light up a smoke while the cap is off the tank, don't cross jumper cables on a charger next to the tank when it's open, etc. - the kind of stuff everyone already knows not to do, basically.
Give me a shout when you can & we can go over all of that...........
