MicroTuner ?
MicroTuner ?
Mike,
Is it ok to reset the computer while on the MicroTuner tune or do you have to restore the stock program before disconecting the battery and turning on the lights? Thanks. Hope you are feeling better!

Hi WarEagle,
Every time I see your screen name here, I think of Dale Pulde's War Eagle - my favorite flopper (nitro funny car) of it's day............
Sure, you can clear the PCM by disconnecting the battery any time just as long as the Micro Tuner isn't connected to the OBD-II port. The Superchips program is stored in the PCM in the same place as the factory program is, in a non-volatile EEPROM - so it won't be damaged or corrupted by disconnecting the battery, whether it has the stock program or the Superchips tuning installed, that won't matter. It's not like when something is being stored in RAM on a PC, for example - so you can basically just not worry about it, and clear the PCM whenever you like.
Also, any time you use the Micro Tuner to flash the PCM, whether it's to the stock program or the Superchips tuning, that process also clears the PCM as well, so there are no learned values left after a reflash of the PCM, and you start from scratch again.
Have fun!
