Going back to stock settings????
Going back to stock settings????
I am currently looking at getting a Supertuner for my truck.
However the truck is still under warranty and I really don't want a hassle from my dealer if something goes wrong(I've had bad luck with my Ford's so far).
So what I'd like to know is once you go back to stock settings will the dealer be able to tell that you had a programmer hooked up or not??
Does the PCM have some sort of history that will show the changes made by the programmer??
It would ease my mind somewhat to know that once you go back to stock settings there is no way for them to tell the programmer was even hooked up!!
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Bosro,
No, the dealership cannot tell you've flashed the PCM - there is no flash counter inside the PCM, etc. Once you return it to stock with the Micro Tuner and drive it a few miles to the dealership, nobody but you is ever going to know the PCM's program was ever changed.
If you would like to go over this in detail, please feel free to give us a call - we'll open back up on Friday the 2nd, and then starting Monday the 5th, we'll be off our holiday schedule & back to normal hours.
