Im really not too keen on the "add on" style of chip. I really like the way the microtuner just plugs into the obd connecter. Would I get all the same delays and retards "fixed" with the microtuner at open-loop? Or is it critical to get you the computer code and have one custom burned to get that accomplished? Or better yet do you burn the custom program on the microtuner? Thanks again Matt

Hi Matt,

All of that is taken care of in the Micro Tuner, too - there is no inherent difference in the tuning between the Micro Tuner and the traditional Superchip modules when we're talking about our "standard" performance tunes, so you won't be giving any of those aspects up - those things are the same in the Micro Tuner as they are in the traditional Superchip module.

Custom tuning is generally only appropriate when you have major mechanical mods that actually *require* compensation in the tuning to make the vehicle run right, or need or want something that the Micro Tuner *can't* deliver - and you're not in that situation.

The bottom line is, you'll have all those same improvements made to the transmission functions and the various delays & retards in the Micro Tuner just like you would have in the traditional Superchip module, you won't be giving any of that up.
