Microtuner and supercharger
Hi chunky1,
Your Micro Tuner cannot be reprogrammed with custom tuning for major modifications like that, sorry!
The Superchips MAX Micro Tuners do not accommodate custom engine tuning required to compensate for major modifications, so any time you are going to do something like a supercharger, change injector sizing, use an aftermarket MAF, ported heads, cam changes, etc., etc., you will need to use the traditional Superchip module instead.
You see, these Micro Tuners are the "MAX" series, which have over 1200 programs in them (soon to be updated to almost 4000 programs!). They were designed to be units that delivered the code-matched "standard" Superchips performance program to vehicles that have modifications that don't require custom engine tuning - things like intake kits, cat-back exhaust systems, electric fans, underdrive pulleys & larger throttle bodies - those are the types of specific mods you can do and still use the Micro Tuner on the late-model F-150. The MAX Micro Tuners were never designed to be used for custom engine tuning for major mods.
Now at some point in the *future*, there will come a time when custom engine tuning is available for Fords in a "specific vehicle dedicated" style of Micro Tuner - but that cannot be done today, and won't be done any time soon.
So for anyone that has a FoMoCo vehicle with mods that require custom engine tuning to compensate for, they'll need to use the traditional Superchip module instead of the Micro Tuner.
The same things affects us here - we have only 2 F-150's here that can use the Micro Tuner, the rest have mods requiring use of the traditional Superchip - I use the 2-program Flip Chip in my truck, and highly advise anyone with forced induction (a supercharger or a turbocharger) use the 2-program Flip Chip for best engine protection. That way you can have a maximum performance program, and then another program in case you need to do towing, or if you get a bad tank of gas, etc., to protect the supercharged engine & allow maximum power and flexibility.
Give us a call at our number listed below if you'd like to go over this in more detail - we can also provide superchargers & complete package deals including the custom tuning needed, etc.
Best of luck with your truck!

Hi chunky1,
Sure, we can compensate for changes in tire size or gear ratio in the the traditional Superchip module on the 1999 & newer trucks. In fact, for years before the Micro Tuner was released, that was how we did it, in the Superchip modules.
