puting a chip in a bronco
puting a chip in a bronco
thinking about puting in a chip in my 1990 bronco with a 351 and a EOD tranny. what is a good chip to buy how much is it going to be? or is it not worth chiping the truck at all?
iwas going to do intake and Exhaust and maybe power underdrive pullies. would it be worth it i dont wanna have to run 93octane in my truck beacause the 351 bronco is not kind on gas

Hi 91,
We can provide a Superchip for that vehicle, with our normal performance tuning you would need to use premium gas, but we can also make a custom Superchip for you so you can still run your Bronco on 87 octane if you prefer. The power gains will be smaller than with our tuning for premium gas, figure you'll pick up about 8-10 HP on that 351 of yours on 87 octane.
It sounds like you're on the right track with the mods you're thinking of, as the Top 3 best bang for the buck mods are first, optimizing the powertrain programming, second, reducing restriction in the air intake tract, and third, reducing restriction in the exhaust. Then come things like electric fans & underdrive pulleys, both of which are excellent modifications. Keep in mind that's just the approximate order of bang for the buck, you can actually do those mods I just listed in any order you like.
We can help you with all of those parts & much more. Drop by our web site over at www.TroyerPerformance.com - click on "Shop" once the home page loads, and there you'll see all the various sections like Intake, Exhaust, Ignition, etc. Our web site doesn't list everything we carry, so there are some parts for your truck you won't see there, but in that case just call us as we offer virtually everything performance-related for these Ford trucks & SUV's.
If you decide you want to have us make you a Superchip for use on regular gas, please give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to take care of that for you.
Good luck with your truck,
