Well, I did it...

Just placed my order for a chip over at Troyer Performance online (thought maybe if I gave him a plug I might get a nice discount when I can afford those pulleys)... Now if I can just wait till I get it... Guess, I better fill up with the good stuff next time, huh...

Be careful with her Mike, and I'll be waiting, thanks...

Just got a chip, don't really have the cash or the need for a tuner... Mostly wanted it for the firmer shifts, but figure it will help with the little bit of towing I do too...

I'm still really excited about it!

Hi closer9,

Thanks for your order, you'll enjoy the Superchip.

In preparation for the arrival & installation of your Superchip, let you current tank of fuel run down until the low fuel light comes on, at which point you still have 3.5 gallons left in the system. Fill it up with the best quality premium gasoline available in your area. It requires the use of 91 thru 94 octane, & higher is better (meaning you'll get a bit more power using 93 or 94 octane as compared to using 91 octane).

Please make sure to rad not just the 1 page manufacturer's instructions on the Superchip, but also our additional Performance Products 4-5 pages of highly detailed instructions, as our docs are much more thorough. We provide all info needed to make a first-time installation go smoothly, so please make sure to take your time & read every word of our additional documentation, as it will save you time & effort during the actual installation, because we cover everything so thoroughly.

Thanks again for your order & have fun with your new Superchip!

Thanks for the advice, Mike, and I'll do you as you recommended...

I'm sure I'll enjoy it... Now, you sure I can't get a real deep discount on a set of pulleys...

C9 -

Don't get too excited. Remember you have truck. It's still gonna drive like a truck.

Oh, I know it's a truck, and I wouldn't have it any other way... I know it's not going to get my truck into the 12's, but I seriously doubt my truck will ever be on any kind of track... trail maybe, but no track...

Well, finally got to install my chip. I can tell it has a little more oomph, but I like the shifts... no more soggy waiting, just bam, bam, bam cruise... I like!

It also seems like it idles a little smoother, and maybe lower, but that might just be me...

Now, I'll start saving for a set of pulleys... Man, I was just going to drive this truck, and leave it alone, but I can't help it... I love this thing... My Belvedere is sitting in pieces cursing me something terrible, 'cause I was going to work on her this summer, and get her painted, but... between the truck, and the lady friend I don't have time or money...

(please, don't tell the little lady I said that... please?)

Hi C9,

Excellent, glad to hear you've got your chip in!

We do get that same comment from most people about the idle being smoother, that's a very common result of installing the Superchips tuning.

I didn't know (or maybe I forgot?) that you have a Belvedere, what year? What's in it, etc.? Just curious, being an old former Mopar racer myself.

Have fun,

Thanks again, Mike...

and here's a picture of my other girl, Belle.

I got her in Phoenix about 4 years ago. 318, auto, power steering and brakes, power top. I'm trying to get ahold of another 318 and tranny. I plan on building a nasty dual throttle body injected 318. I'm trying to build it as though Plymouth were still alive to build a 2003 Belvedere II Convertable... all the power and safety options...

I got a '69 New Yorker for the 440 and tranny, but it was just too nice... one owner, and she even gave me the original window sticker. It's getting some TLC then will be up for sale most likely, but maybe not...

well, thanks again...
