Diablo Chip

Ok, Getting a Diablo Chip in my '01 Supercab this afternoon.....Kinda wondering what to expect, not sure if I am getting the 3 position one or the basic chip.....I guess I am more nervous than anything, the only mod's to my truck are Tires, up to 285's from 265's, and the drop in K&N......

expect more power and better shifting (if auto) than stock.

Taking the chip out is no big deal. You just reach under the dash and unplug it. HOWEVER, putting it in the first is about a 2 hour project. Pull the PCM, take it apart, scrape the contacts . . .

As for me, I tried two different diablo's and they just didn't "take". No difference in pep or shifting.

Good luck to you!

got it in and man what a difference, pick up after 1st gear is outrageous.....shifting is much tighter, hopefully gas mileage will pick up too.... Had to edit, i am too leary about this thing, will it cause any damage to the engine...seems like a hassle just to take it in for service, removal and all....might take it back will have to see what the accsessory dealer says.....
