Pulling the fuel pump fuse for programming????

In an earlier post I mentioned the recent purchase of the
1715. Is it necessary to pull the fuel pump fuse when
installing the program? I've heard a couple of horror
stories about this and was curious. Thanks.

Thanks guys...just wondering, what are the
consequences of NOT taking out the fuse?
Exactly how much would it muck up?

The fuel injector gets stuck open. Filling the cylinder with fuel. When you start the engine you get hydrolock. This can break the piston, valves, crankshaft and your visa card.

My owners manual shows two fuses dealing with the
fuel pump, one marked fuel pump and one marked
fuel relay. So do I pull both fuses?
