Performance chip bi-fuel gas/propane

Can you use a performance chip on a bi-fuel vehicle. I have a 2000 f150 5.4 propane/gas truck.

Would like to install a chip, but not sure if I can with this set-up?

When tunning on gasoline, yes, but not when running on the propane.

In the past we've done some 2-program Flip Chip setups for propane, but there is so much variance in all the various propane setups (hardware & implementation) and sometimes even in the propane itself that it's usually not worth our time to mess with it.

You won't be able to use any kind of "standard" or "off the shelf" performance chip with propane, it will have to be a custom program, and I'd suggest trying to find someone who really specializes in tuning Fords on propane as well as gasoline, and of course, you'll need to use a 2-program type of chip, like the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip.

The only other choice would be to use the "standard" Superchip for your vehicle's computer code, but only when running on gasoline, not when burning propane.

Good luck!
