Mike, Question about Spark plugs.
Mike, Question about Spark plugs.
Hey Mike,
I heard you're the man to buy/see about Denso Iridium plugs. (Pre-97 forum)
My question is which part # should i use? I have a 1991 F-250 w/ 5.0L and Edelbrock 6037 heads. I'm pretty sure Edelbrock calls for a different plug when using their heads.
I did alittle research and i came up with IQ16's.
Does that sound about right to you?
I also have a bunch of other mods to my engine. Please click on my homepage to see them all if it makes a difference in the spark plug part #.
Lets get the right part # so I can place an order with you.
Thanks,
Jerry D.

Hi Jerry,
Wow, looks like a *very* nice truck you're building there!
A 1991 5.0 V8 F-150 requires the Denso Iridium ITF16 spark plug from the *factory*, as is shown on our web site at www.TroyerPerformance.com.
I don't know what Edelbrock states to use with their various cylinder heads, so that information will need to come from them. Those heads may very well take a completely different plug than what your 5.0 originally needed from the factory with the stock cylinder heads, and Edelbrock will have to give you that answer.
Once you know exactly which plug Edelbrock says you need with that exact cylinder head when used in your type of application, sure, we can supply them for you, just give us a call.
