Question Bigger Tires / Superchip Question

I have 285/75/16 tires on my truck with stock 3:08 gears. I had the different speedo gear put in my trans to be within 1 mph.
My question is: Will these mods effect the performance of the regular Superchip or Flip Chip?

-Thanks

Hi MFT98,

No, they don't affect the performance of the Superchip, but they do affect the performance of your truck. The bigger tires hurt acceleration & fuel mileage, especially when the tire is taller and with super-tall 3.08 gears.

I think what you may really be wanting to know is, since your truck is a pre-1999 model, to correct the speedo you had to change the speedo gear, and does *that* cause any potential issues with the Superchip? The answer is no. When you change the speedo gear, that is in effect all the time, whether you have a chip installed or not.

I hope that's the info you were looking for, & give us a call if you'd like to go over this in more detail!
