Sorry you didn't get a response before now, I just noticed your post.
The best thing to do is to spend some time reading these message boards, as some people have tried that unit & have posted their impressions. You can also use the search feature here to instantly find any specific info you want, & the icon to access it is in the upper right area of your screen here.
Just to get you some quick immediate info......
Chances are, you'll be much happier with the Superchips Micro Tuner (a similar device installs via the OBD-II port in 10 minutes) instead of the Hypertech device, as you get a performance program made specifically for your individual vehicle instead of Hypertech's generic 1-program for all similar vehicles. You will also have power gains all the time, at any throttle position or rpm with the Superchips tuning, whereas with Hypertech you get no power gain until you're basically at full-throttle (technically, not until you're in open loop). This makes a big difference in the results between those 2 different products. You'll gain more power with the Superchips tuning, and get a better reduction in acceleration times.
The bottom line is that Superchips has put more R&D into the tuning of these Ford trucks than anyone else, and we here at Troyer Performance/Performance Products, Inc. also assist in much of the testing & development of these programs, as we're America's oldest Superchips distributor & we specialize in this platform.
