a word about this forum

i just wanted to say that i have been looking at f150 online for 3 or 4 years and this chip forum is the best i have seen anywhere!
if you look at other site were the chip/tuners have ther own catagory, those will go weeks to get answers or possibly never. if you look at others were free form goes and anyone can talk about any vendor, you will notice that no tuners/chip guys get involved and the bs is deep. the advice you are getting might be from a 16 year old that is comparing the performace of his v-6 to that of last years go cart. You might be getting advice from someone with a stick up his rear with a chip maker and he trashes that product over personel reasons with not really giving a chit about what his "buddies" get.

so even though i have not bought a thing from Mike T. if i had serious concerns with a performace thing on my truck, this is the first place i would come. it "works" better than anything else i have seen and i can honestly say I have never caught MIke in a BS, he is a good salesman, but not a bs artist like most.

If you like to surf the web looking for something better, dont waste your time. the difference is that for most it is a hobby or a way to make there vehicle faster, for Mike it is a job and a business and he treats it that way.

the reason for the post is i saw that mike didnt answer mail for 2 day and people were freaking, that tells you how much people like the guy, how reliable he is and how alot of people like to read this forum even if it is just bench racing for most.

BROTHERDAVE:

I am like you I have yet to buy anything from him. I am patiently waiting for the Microtuner for the V6 to come out and then I will be spending some money. However, with that I have learned A LOT from just coming here and reading his many post as well as others. I have posted on occasion to others with Mike’s information so if someone needed an answer then they could always call him and/or leave a message.

I understand what your saying about other forums and not knowing who is giving the latest advice on “today’s special” chips…

From my time here, and reading many of his post all I can say is I wish Ford's customer service was ONLY half of Mike's and I am telling you Ford would have lines outside forming to buy their products...

I'm a bit stunned...........

Nobody will believe I didn't pay somebody to say that, wow!

Thanks very much for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated, to say the least.

We're not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but we do try, and posts like Brotherdave's & everyone else in this thread make it all worthwhile.

All I can really say, and quite humbly at that, is a genuine heartfelt thank you!

Mike,
Of course you are not perfect......its the second part of that statement that makes your business...you DO try...and try and try and try, until its right and both you and the customer are satisfied......I've said it elsswhere in this forum, I've only bought a few things from Mike, but I probably burned up a good part of his phone line...he just won't let you off the line until he is sure you know what you are in for......

Everytime I get a delivery from the Troyers I have a huge smile on my face (usually days earlier than expected). I have not run across friendlier group of honest people. An example of this was when I recieved a defective set of JBA headers (ceramic chip) through the Troyers. I called Anita (MRS. TROYER) up and within that same day, she had JBA send up a return UPS sticker and ultimately a new set of headers. Can't beat that customer service!

Mike you have a customer for life! Actually, I have my eye on the Magnaflow 15609 set-up next. I'm finally going to replace my Flowmasters in a couple weeks. Also, I'll be calling you up sometime next week for the new installation tip for your E-Fans.

Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your post!

With all the JBA headers we've shipped over the years, yours was the first set we've sold that has ever had an issue like that, very rare. In your case it was a matter of a small separation of the ceramic coating, so we had the manufacturer replace it.

The key here is that JBA is a responsible manufacturer (as most companies are), so they replaced the unit as they should have. From our standpoint, we hate that you experienced any inconvenience of course, as we always want everything to be perfect. Thanks very much for your understanding on this, and for your kind words.

Enjoy your headers,
