Hi SVTErick,

In these F-150's, most of us mount the switch in one of the pre-existing holes along the bottom front edge of the dash over on the passenger side, in the general area of the glove compartment. Look at the bottom of the dash, in the very front, at the bottom of the glove compartment, and you'll see & feel part of the metalwork there that has a number of small holes of the perfect size already drilled, at roughly 10"-12" intervals. Slip the switch housing thru one of those, then just tighten the locking nut & you're done!

If you want, you can also extend the lead so you can mount the switch over closer to the driver if you want, just be very careful about extending the lead so you don't mess things up, just do neat wiring work & a good solder job and it will be fine using the same gauge of wire. Some people put them in overhead consoles, some mount them on the dash, but the vast majority don't get really creative, we just leave the lead the stock length & mount it there along the bottom of the dash on the passenger side, in about 30 seconds.

Good luck!
