Hi Garrett,
We can't discuss pricing here on the boards, that's taboo here, so you'll need to either call us or take a look at our online ordering system here just by clicking on the link in our signature line. However, your info is incorrect, as the retail price on that part is significantly higher than the figure you mentioned, and our discounted price for it is significantly lower than what you mentioned.
And no, Superchips hasn't released the Micro Tuner for the 4.2 V6 in the Ford F-150's yet. What they *did* do fairly recently was to release the MAX series Micro Tuner for the *GM* 4.3 liter V-6's.
There are some things going on we're not at liberty to discuss just yet, but just as soon as the Micro Tuner is ready for the 4.2 V-6 in the F-150, we'll be shouting it from the rooftops.

I have a chip for my v6 (thanks its great) what advantages do the tuners have that my chip does not.... and will it be worth replacing my chip......
I know this is all subjective.. but im looking for your qualified opinion...

Hi Red,
The Superchips Micro Tuner is for *V8* Ford trucks & SUV's, not for the 4.2 V6. The previous poster asking about it either misunderstood what they were told or was given incorrect information by whomever he spoke to. There isn't a whole lot of demand for the 4.2 V6's to be put into a Micro Tuner, though at some point in time we'll probably see it done, just not real soon.
Just to give you some basic info in general, there is no inhernet advantage performance-wise with the Micro Tuner over the traditional Superchip module when we're talking about comparing the standard performance program in the traditional Superchip module to the tuning you get in the Superchips Micro Tuner. It's more the easier installation and the additional features of the Micro Tuner, things like the built-on OBD-II code scanner, the ability to alter WOT upshift points & shift firmness, and the ability to recalibrate the speedometer for changes to gear ratio & tire size that are it's primary virtues.
If you already have the Superchip, then you already have the best tuning you can get for your 4.2 V6, and it can be updated should you ever need any custom tuning for major modifications, too.
Good luck!

Hi sdf150guy & 01 XLT Sport,
I hear you!
I spoke with someone involved with this, and currently the word is the 4.2 V-6's will be added to the Micro Tuner in late Summer, just to give you gentlemen a rough idea of current plans.

I remember a while back I emailed you and had you put me on a list...

Hi 01,
Yes, there are 4.2 V6 owners who have emailed or called us, and are on the list to notify as soon as it's actually shipping. And of course, we know it can't be soon enough for you guys.
