Headers??

Will headers work okay with the microtuner? If not then I'll have to wait till I can get the right chip then.
I have a microtuner now but also have 2 97 f-150's so I can swap the microtuner on the one without headers.

2 97 f-150's
one modded (filter charger, pulleys, microtuner, electric fans, flowmaster 50 series catback, accel wires coil packs, that's it for now!!!)
other(work truck so just borrowed microtuner)

From what I understand, the Microtuner will not be able to adjust your program to the headers, so you will need to get a chip for that truck. I would buy a superchip, and when it comes in program that truck back to the original program stored in the microtuner. Install the superchip, then setup your second truck with the tuner.

Hi Jeff,

We'll need to go over some details via phone before we can give you a correct answer as to whether you can use our Micro Tuner on that truck.

Some headers do and some do not cause a need for custom engine tuning, it depends on a number of factors including other modifications, the computer code of the vehicle, how old the O2 sensors are and several other things. So you may or may not be able to do that, but we'll need to go over this with you by phone to get you a correct answer that you can safely count on.

Just give us a quick call at our number listed below & we can go over all the details with you & let you know if you'll actually be OK using the Micro Tuner in this particular case, or whether you actually need to go to the expense of a custom tuned Superchip for that configuration.
