Hi rsatmans,

The maximum potential gain from the Superchips tuning on the 260 hp version of the 5.4 is 28 HP & 46 lbs./ft. of torque, SAE Net @ the flywheel, just like the stock factory rating is expressed. How much each individual vehicle actually gains depends on things like the altitude & quality of fuel being used, both octane and the energy content. In round numbers, think of the Superchips tuning as roughly about a 10% power gainer.

How fast your truck can go once it's top speed limiter has been removed varies quite a bit, some configurations are so heavy they still won't run much more than about 105-108 mph if all they have in them is the Superchips tuning & everything else is bone stock, but more often we'll see other lighter configurations, especially the 2WD trucks, about to run 120+ mph. And with a few more bolt-on mods, say like a good intake kit & a cat-back exhaust, many of these trucks can run 130+ mph. Neal's truck (one of our more prominent members here), which is capable of hitting high 13's under the right conditions with good traction with the modifications he's done, can hit 140 mph or so. You have to be careful with this, as the factory original tires are not rated or capable of being driven at triple digit speeds safely.

In terms of how much you'll reduce your 0-60 times by, that too varies because of all the different configurations & weights as well as ride heights, etc. in the F-150, so it ranges from a low of about a half-second to just over a full second off the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, just to give you a rough idea. Optimizing your powertrain programming with the Superchisp tuning is the single most cost effective performance modification you can make, as nothing else will provide as much benefit to all around performance for the same or less cost.

You also get rid of various delays & retards that slow down the powertrain's response to driver input, especially in passing situations where you need to downshift & go quick **right now**, and you have more power all the time, at any throttle position, at any rpm.

Give us a call to go over all the details of the Superchips tuning & the Micro Tuner if you like, we can go over all the details of what it does in various areas & types of driving, etc. if you liike, & we have them available for ordering either by phone or via our online ordering system. All of our contact info, etc., is listed just below in our signature line.
