dumb question
Hi L&C,
No, the Micro Tuner would not be considered "directly comparable" to the 2-program Flip Chip, simply because it doesn't have 2 different performance programs, it has 1. By virtue of the design, meaning uploading the program via the OBD-II port, this is something that cannot accommodate switching programs instantly like you can with the Flip Chip, because it will always take about 8 minute to do the program upload each time via the OBD-II port. The F-150 Micro Tuner has about 1200 programs in it, so that's nmot the issue, the issue is one of the *instant* program switching that cannot be done.
The Micro Tuner is a great product, easy to install & works great, but if you need to have 2 diferent programs available at the flip of a switch, then the Flip Chip is the way to go. In fact, only 1 of our vehicels here at Performance doesn't use the Flip Chip.

Hi SMC,
Well, yes & no. The cat-back system uses a slash cut tip, but it's not a sharp-edged tip that will cut you, etc. It is not a true fully rolled tip, and most manufacturers (in their complete cat-back systems, that is), won't do that due to concerns of moisture accumulation & potential corrosion over a long time, years & years of use.
We can always provide you with an additional rolled edge tip if that's what you want, you would have your local muffler shop cut the existing tip of the cat-back system & weld on the rolled tip.
Unless this is something that you feel stongly about the look of, I wouldn't go that route either. But then, it's not my truck, so you go with whatever pleases you the most.
