This has been asked & answered literally *thousands* of times before, as you can probably imagine. Do yourself a big favor and take advantage of that by reading all of that information. It's already here, all you have to do is point, click & read it.

In short, the easiest & smartest thing to do by far is to do your homework by reading this section of the message boards so you can see just what people who have spent their own hard-earned money to purchase, install and use the Superchip have to say about it, you'll enjoy reading that kind of info & all the impressions from so many different people.

People who have already posted their results, etc., generally don't like having to repeat themselves over and over again, and that's not necessary to get that information. Just read what's here already, as you couldn't ask for more information in one place on the Superchip than what's already right here in front of you in this section.

Briefly................

The Superchip isn't going to work miracles, it won't feel like a supercharger, and it won't make a 5000+ lb. F-150 suddenly get 18-20 mpg. What it *will* do is be the best bang for the buck performance enhancement.

The Superchip is a *performance* modification, so if you're looking for more *performance,* optimizing the powertrain programming via the Superchip is the place to start, as it's the cheapest & easiest way to get about a 10%-12% power gain. It also removes the top speed limiter, cleans up the sloppy factory shift characteristics in the automatics and removes the various powertrain delays & retards, etc., that slow down powertrain response. No other product can give you as much performance improvement as the Superchip for it's same price, and that is why it's so popular, because it's the best bang for the buck. Nothing else will knock off 1/2 to a full second off the 0-60 & 1/4 mile times of these big heavy trucks for such a low cost.

If you'd like to go over this in detail, spend some time getting a feel for just exactly what the Superchip really can do as well as what it can't do for your vehicle, please feel free to give us a call here at Performance and we'll be more than happy to spend some time with you going over all of that in detail and answering any questions you may have. Our contact info is listed below & we're happy to help you.

In the meantime, please do spend some time going back thru these message threads here in this section to see what so many people have had to say about their Superchips, you'll quickly see why it's used by so many people.

Good luck with your truck,

Yep.
plenty to read.

In short~

The superchips Tuner IS the best aftermarket money I've put into my truck.

BTW, if you happen to have the PSD, it is AMAZING what the tuner does for it!!

Best "bang for the buck" you can get for the F-150. I had the module on my '99, and just yesterday recieved my MicroTuner. Now my '01 SCrew shifts gears like it should. Crisp and clean shifts and a few extra ponies under the hood to boot!

Like has been said, read read read this section.

Look at it this way. You have either 220 or 231 hp? So a Superchipshould net you peak gains of around 23hp. Are you going to "feel" that? Well, it really depends on how you read feedback from your truck.

Ok, the Superchip will net you a 10%-12% gain. Think of how much it costs. Now think of how much a supercharger costs. You can expect 30%, 50% maybe even 65% peak gain. Will you "feel that? If you don't your dead.

My point it the Superchip is not going to provide earth shattering results and you wont pay an arm and a leg for it. If you have an arm and leg to spare there is more power out there. You'de want a Superchip any how to manage the system.

Fuel mileage depends on how you drive and many other factors. Do not get a chip If you are expecting better fuel economy. If you get it it's s bonus but it shouldn't be expected.

A lot of us here are using the Superchip and are very happy. I just couldn't stop there. This power thing is addictive!

Good luck!

To be honest, I'm saving for a Superchip. I'll be happy to have the thing just clean up the shifting and removing all the crap that doesn't need to be there (delays, speed limiters, etc.) the HP gain is gravy.

Talking Artificial intelligence?

Have had my tuner on for about 1000 miles. I "enjoyed it" at first but not initially wow'd. I was told it would take a few miles to "learn" my truck. Recently, I deprogrammed to take it in the shop for leather seat replacement (didn't want to risk having the dealer "doing me a favor" and uploading any factory enhancements). As soon as I deprogrammed, I was definately WOW'd ... the wrong way! She feels like such a dog now. As soon as I get the 87 out of the tank, I'm uploading!!! I guess I gradually got used to the performance. I'm a believer! And you can't beat Troyer for advice and customer service. I am forever recommending the micro-tuner to anyone blessed enough to own a F150!

Thumbs up I have the Superchips MicroTuner

The short answer...AWESOME!!!
I've had the MicroTuner for approx. 600miles and I'm very impressed. Total turn around in "performance"...gas mileage didn't really change one way or the other. It is money WELL SPENT!

Why settle for the same stock program that is given to a guy in alaska and a guy in florida. when you get get one for you and your truck and where you live and type of gas you use, etc.....

This is a No- Brainer
