Mike...i have a '94 F-150 with a 5.8...What options do I have for a chip? And what kind of increases can I expect? And for how much? (cdn) Thanks!

1994f150XLT, with the Lightning engine in your truck you could expect around 25 HP and 40 ft/lbs of Torque. Superchips Inc. We may see you out running around sometime. We sometimes hang out at the old Elias on Techumseh Rd by the corner of Ouellete. {Can't remember the side street that is there} It gives you a good idea of where it is located. I drive a blue supercab, longbox F150, Neal "HP Freak" drives a white Reg. cab, short box F150 4x2 and JMC drives a maroon/red supercab, shortbox F150 4x4 with larger tires. But then again we may already know you from the market.

Hi 1994,

The power gain figures that Izzy kindly listed in his post are correct for the 1st. Gen. Lightning (1993-1995) version of the 5.8 motors; they had the good cylinder heads, etc., & thus gain a bit more power from the Superchips tuning compared to the "regular" F-150 5.8 motors.

With regard to options for chips, you basically have the choice between our single program Superchip and the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip. Most people just use the single program Superchip, as it's less expensive.

With regard to details like pricing, etc., we do have to ask that you please contact us privately for that info, due to the rules here at F-150 Online, & thanks in advance for your understanding on that.

We do have a link to our online ordering system just below in our signature line (Izzy also put another link to it in his post), all costs are in USD; we do everything in US currency, so we don't keep track of exchange rates, etc. Our Canadian customers use their credit cards to place their orders just like our American customers do, we get paid in USD, you get charged in whatever the equal amount would be in Canadian dollars, is basically how that works.
