i had the dealer name plate right above my f150 badge on my tailgate. its started to peel off so i just helped it along and pulled it off. now i have all this black junk that it left behind. my question is how do i remove all that crap with out hurting the paint?

 

I would try using WD-40, it is pretty good at removing left over adhesive. You may have to work at it, but the WD-40 won't hurt the paint.

 

cool thanks i was thinking alcohol but i will give wd 40 a try.
