zaino
i think what ill do is order some Z-2 show car polish for clearcoated vehicles, and some Z-6 gloss enancer spray (isnt this the quick spray for b/t waxings/polishings?) I added it up and the total comes to $29.85 and that includes s&h. Thats a hell of a lot of money for just 24 oz. of polish/detailer. Im just wondering if 17 bucks for a pint of Liquid Glass and a bottle of meguairs quik detailer would be more worth it....?

don't worry about it man, no big deal. Us ZZ's (zaino zealots
) have to stick up for the zaino though before too many more rumors pop up. lol
I wish I had just a little of Inter or Harley's experience so I could offer more suggestions. But I will leave that to the pro's
i'd consider Intel a pro, but i'm far from it compared to his detailing knowledge. LoL. I mainly just know my stuff about zaino, liquid glass, and vinylex. LoL. but yeah, i'm not saying zaino is the absolute best out there, there is always something better, but i'm extremely happy with the results. I'm sure there are other guys out there who use waxes and get just a good as a shine, but i don't need a buffer to get it to that kind of a level.

the cost is a little high, but when you 1st look at the prices, but the products go extremely far because you do very very thin coats. I can do my entire truck, tonneau and all, with just under an ounce of polish. And the stuff like the tire shine and all, its a liquid, so it goes on very thin but looks great, and lasts a long time. so you use less of the product.
It basicly evens out in the end. Either spend 10 bucks on a bottle of wax and do it every 3 months, or 20 bucks on a bottle of Z and do it every 6 months. Ya still gotta get car soap, and other stuff, so why not buy it all from one place. thats the way i see it.
Norm has a good point. the people who are having trouble probably don't either let it dry long enough (use enough zfx) or are putting it on too thick. its a good idea to wet the applicator pad with water 1st then wring it out, then spray it a few times with the z6 QD then start applying it extremely thin. you should barely be able to tell its on there with a dark truck, and probably not at all with a light vehicle. It just wipes off with the 1st or 2nd pass when i buff it off.
whew...i've been doing alot of typing in this post. LoL. i think i'm also a f150online zealot....or would that just be considered a post *****. LoL (ah shoot, out of Smilies..LoL)
lol post *****!
Im gona jump in and order some Z-2 show car polish for clearcoated vehicles, and some Z-6 gloss enancer spray. I think that it will be worth it so im gona order some and try it next spring. I cant wait to apply it to my restored 53 chevywith a $5,000 paint job--cherry red! Ill try to post pics.

I use Zaino on my wife's 99 Deep Wedgewood Blue Lariat. Mostly Z5, with a couple coats of Z2 mixed here and there. I had applied two coats of Z5 last fall, and it lasted all winter (5 months or so), always outside and only touchless or coin washes to keep the salt off. After drying, hit it with Z6 and the slickness returns and still shines. And all my vehicles get very salty in the Michigan winters.

Zaino is the lowest maintainence wax/sealant I've used. As long as I don't drive the vehicle in the rain, it stays clean because the water just runs off. I typically hand wash the F-150 every other week on average and apply a couple coats in the Spring, couple in the summer, and couple in the fall. Always Z6 between coats and about half the time I Z6 after a wash. Dust is not a problem and the truck stays outside all the time. For the winters and for low maintainance, Zaino rules.
Here is the first application of Zaino, two coats of Z5 taken Spring of 2001:

But I think I found something that looks better on dark colors: P21S (AKA S100). The color is deeper, the finish is just as smooth, it just doesn't last as long. Seems to stay clean (little dust and rain not ruining the look) similar to Zaino. This pictures was taken about a week after I had washed the truck, and 3 weeks after S100 application. Not bad IMO:
I don't know why this one won't display. Try a link instead
As for cost of Zaino, I can get 3 coats of ZFX modified Z5 on the F-150 out of one ounce. And it takes about 2 hours to wash, dry, and put the 3 coats on and buff off. Enough to last 6 months if I need to. Not bad for a 4 year old never garaged truck and 60k miles.
Durability: like I said, it lasts a long time. It beads for a long time (at least 5 months) and the slickness returns after a wash and Z6. Bird crap comes off with water and a paper towel, then some Z6. I am amost completely satisfied with Zaino, except the look on certain dark colors. I never could get my dark gray car to look right. Always a little lighter in color than I wanted and not much depth, even after 10 coats of Z5/Z2 combinations. S100 looks much better on that, only a little better on the blue. Either way, I am splitting hairs. They look great anyway.

Just get Z1 or ZFX and some Z5. Skip Z2 for dark colors completely and to save some upfront money. Oh, wait, is that the light green color or dark green? Either way, Z5 can be used as the final coat and few people can notice a difference between the two anyway. It'll make the red brighter and the green (if dark) mirror-like.
zaino will look better than LG on any color.
if you want the absolue minimum amout of stuff, then the required stuff is the z1, z5 (better for darker colors), and z6
the stuff ya don't NEED, but helps out with the looks and ease of the stuff is the z2, z7 wash, and z16 tire shine. their z12 glass polish works awsome too even just applying it by hand.

Klasse Sealant Glaze is only around $24 and one bottle will last you a good 30+ coats. I had three coats on my truck and it was still beading after 6 months of weekly (sometimes twice a week) washings. I stripped it at the end of 6 months for my 6 month detail.
Pro's Profection is another good choice. It is an amino-functional polymer. It goes on easily and buffs off easily. It practically jumps off the paint and onto the towel. (I use cotton towels for buffing, btw. No need for Microfiber for this product). Suppose to give 6 months of the waxed look and stay bonded to the paint for 2 years. You don't use a lot. I probably use 1oz. on my truck and less than an oz. on cars. One quart of this stuff will last you years even if you are doing several trucks.
The New formula Blackfire is also pretty good. Goes on easily and comes off easily. Gives a nice deep shine somewhat similar to a carnauba. I haven't tested durability of it though and probably won't be able to for awhile.

if your truck is light colored, get the z2
if its dark colored get the z5. it'll make a difference
the z6 you should definately get
you either need z1 or zfx. the z1 is the polish lock so that it bonds to the surface correctly. without it, i'm not sure how good it'll work. the zfx does basically the same, but it does it quicker and you mix it in with the polish. the zfx lets you do 3 coats in a day also. you could do more, but it needs time to crosslink and all

wow i just added up the cost of Z 1,5,6 and it came up to $42.80.
I am not gona pay 43 dollars for some car cleaning stuff i mean thats alot of money to put into car polish. I think ill stick wtih LG and Gold class, then quik detailer. That totals about 25 bucks and lasts a while.

I use the Zaino line on my truck, which is Amazon Green.... it does a great job, but I decided to venture out a bit and purchased Cherry Wet Wax, the Miracle Mist and Car Wash to see how they compare. Also, the price for the Coats Products is extremely reasonable. I believe a gallon of the CWW was $22.95. I heard great things about the Coats Product.... so I'm going to try them out.
Oh yeah, Harley #365 the Zaino does smell good, but you should take a whiff of CWW.... cherries for days!
Can't wait to try out the cherry, but they're expecting rain the latter part of the week here in sunny California
, so I may have to put it on hold until next weekend.
