Bug & Tar Remover

I have Nerf bars and of course we all know about the front of the truck and grille area, not to mention the wheel wells. That stubborn tar and bug guts is a pain for me. I purchased Lifter 1 Tar and Bug remover and for me.... it works ok. In the past I've used Turtle Wax No.7 Bug and Tar remover. Any suggestions, is there an easier way or product out there????

I am sure Intel will be along to recommend something that works great. He knows his products. I would suggest WD-40. I had some tar on a Mustang I had years ago and a friend suggested using the WD-40 and it sure works great. It came right off no problem, same with bugs.

Just keep in mind that anywhere you put the tar remover or WD, it WILL remove the wax as well...

Make sure to go back over any of those spots with your choice of wax to ensure paint protection...

I use Pro's Pro-Sol for Tar. Takes them right off.

For bugs I use Pro's Bug Remover. If that doesn't get them off. Then I get some hot water and soak it into a sponge and let it sit on the bug spot while I do other stuff.

when i was 17...

my dad had a 69 el dorado that was white and he let me drive it out to the lake on a hot summer day...we lived in southern illinios at the time and they cover the roads with oil and rock and when it,s hot it will cover the sides of your car and it did on that white car....he got me a can of animal lard and told me to tear into it and let it set for a hour and take it up to the car wash and hose it off...all that oil just melted off and i've used it ever since
