You won't need to clay it.
Did the paintshop leave any swirls in the paint?
If so, then use a polish like Meguiar's #9.
To keep the paint looking good, then seal it with something like Pro's Profection. It is an amino functional polymer. Very durable. I've started to use it on my truck and it gives nice hard shine. i'll try to get some pictures.

You don't need to apply it thickly. Just enough so you can see a haze on the surface.
You won't harm anything if you put it on too thick though. I applied it really thick when I first got it and it still buffed off eaisly even after being on the paint 30mins+. Just makes more dust if you have a lot.
Given the ****ty climate around here, I want to give my finish as much protection as possible. Where would something like that Pro's Perfection fit into the order of appliccation:
1. Wash
2. Clay if necessary
3. Polish
4. Wax
Or, is it a polish itself?
