What do you use to wax your Truck? God, that looks real good. I have mcquires (sp?) wax,and Have used it on the hood, but I didn't notice ANY difference in the appearence. In Fact, it looked 'smudged' in the sunlight, lilke fingerprints all over it.

what product do you suggest for me to wax/polish with?
Thanks,
JD.

BTW, does the brush as the Carwash cause BAD swirl marks. Living in CO, its hard to keep it clean, and when I want a quick wash, I just take it to the carwash and use the brush and sprayer..

i used to use liquid glass, and it was great. good results, easy to do. But i recently switched to zaino and its a step above IMO. And costs about the same when you look at all the products you get, and is easier to use. Quicker also after the innitial process. Its definately worth the innitial cost and work, because the results are amazing, and a little bit goes a long way. i can do a full coat on my truck with an ounce or less of zaino! I have 7 coats on my truck now, but when i go to a show, all i do is wash it if needed with the z7 wash, and hit it with the z6 quick detailer. My last show the truck hadn't been washed for 2 weeks, but i just dusted the truck every day, and used the z6 quick detail every other or third day, and it looked like i just polished it! The zaino tire shine is the best by far that i've tried also, and i've tried dozens of them! I also use their window polish. very easy and no haze left on windshield.
LG is fine for a daily driver and you just want good shine and protection, but Z is definately a step above it!

hope this helps

thanks

YES!

Grab a wash mit and mix some soap up in a spray bottle.

You can use their sprayer to wet your truck down, then soap up the truck and wash it with the wash mit peridocially stopping to rinse the wash mitt off. Then you can use their water to rinse your truck off.

yeah, i forgot to say what i do for washing

when i can do it at home, use the garden sprayer and a cotton washmit and z7 car wash. during the winter when i have to use the car wash up in town, i bring my own bucket and soap, and just use the rinse from the carwash on the truck, and i use my own wash mit.

for drying i use a cali blade, and an absorber. can do the entire trucks and rims in 10 minutes

did you just say what I thought you did?

LG or Zaino,
You can't go wrong either way.

Yes, the brush at the car wash will cause swirling over time. Don't use it.
Get yourself a quality wash mitt or just cut the edges off a quality bath towel and wash it at home with a quality car wash product (Meguiar's, Zaino, etc.). Just use a hose, a bucket, and your thumb. Even the better spray wands won't get all the dirt off. At $1-$2 per pop at the spray car wash, I think you'll save money washing it at home, not to mention you'll be treating your car's paint better.

thanks!

and usually, I spend about 5 bucks at the wash cuz the truck can get pretty dirty out here.

Today it was snowing and I have to wash it when the weather gets good.. AND, i think I'm taking the rims of and putting my old ones back on for the winter.
Its gonna look weird with the old rims on.

C ya,
jd
