Quick Paint and Body Question

Hey Guys,

I had a PIAA airdam on my old truck that had been primed and painted to macth the truck. I was able to remove it before trade in and I was curious about something.

My new truck is a different color but the airdam will fit. My question is: Is it hard to repaint a plastic piece that is already painted? Or would it be easier to search for a buyer for my old airdam and buy a new one and have it primed and painted again?

Thanks in advance and any help will be appreciated.

I think it could probably be repainted. Might not be able to sand blast the paint off since it is plastic so you'll have to sand it down.

Go ahead and call some paintshops and see what they say to do to prep it. You might want to sand the old paint off yourself and bring it back down to the primer just so the paintshop won't have to do it.

I'm sure it will be much cheaper to get repainted if you do most of the prep work yourself before taking it to the paint shop.
