Angry Blackfire

We are using BLACKFIRE Deep Gloss Polish and All Finish Paint Protection my mother;s black 2002 Grand Prix GT. The polishing went smoothly and the car looked gorgeous afterwards. However, we took a break for dinner and then went to apply the Paint Protection. While applying it to the car according to all intructions, the paint looked as if you just dumped motor oil all over it. Now we were working, section by section and following all directions and the temp was around 70 today. We of course were in the garage with the door closed. We applied the PP using terry applicators. Now after 20 mins or so, the wax looked as if we still just applied it. It Did not haze and looked really oily. So we waited another 20 mins and still same look. So we buffed it off and it came off with little effort but man the streaking and the oily film it left behind was just disguisting. I am not happy with this nor is my father. We are applying it very thin and still following all instructions. Why is the PP leaving behind this nasty film and not hazing when it's drying, please help this is very agrivating and the car looks total dog $h!t. Tks guys

I have a sample bottle... ok they sent me a whole bottle of the stuff to try out.

I haven't tried it out but will be trying it out either tonight or tomorrow.

When did you buy it? They recently changed formulas.

Where did you buy it from?

Also, what did it look like? Mine is a thick whiteish, greenish liquid.

EDIT: I just read if you are having trouble getting the haze off, then you got the applicator wet. You need to use a dry applicator. A wet applicator will mess up the application.

Hi Intel,

We bought it last week from ProperAutoCare.com Ours is a very thin off whitesh color. Went on like melted butter and came off like washing motor oil from the paint.

Sorry, I can't help.

properautocare actually makes the product so either email them or call them with your problem.
