Thumbs up Paintless dent removal

I had the bad pleasure of finding a dent in my drivers door. I heard about paintless dent removal. I saw some other posts. So I tried it. WOW I couldn't believe my eyes, they did just what the tech said. I know were the dent was and still can't see it. Just wanted to tell anyone who was thinking about using this service it was well worth the money.

Yep. PDR is some neat stuff.

I'll eventually do the training and start doing it myself.

He he use the plastic skid plates on his tools? Some places don't and if he didn't, then the tools scraped the rust inhibitor off the inside of your door. Usually they fog a rust inhibitor in the panel afterwords but I'm not sure about door panels.

do you guys think that the PDR would work for this door ding? its really close to the edge, so i wasn't sure if it could be hammered out or what. These 2 doors have already been painted 3 times dont' want it done again, too much orange peel there already

(truck was filty in the pics so the orange peel looks even worse than in person)

*edit* and no thats not a white scratch at the top right, just some more dirt. embarrassed to post the pics, but i was just wondering.

also, about how much would it cost to get done?

thanks

Harley, you gonna have to take it to a place to be looked at. If they can get behind the dent, then they can probably fix it. That one looks like an easy fix for them.

My understanding is that as long as the paint isn't damaged, they can do it no problem. If the paint is chipped, spidered, or otherwise cracked, then a body shop is in order.

aight, thanks. i wasn't sure if they could since it is so close to the edge of the door, like almost where the metal is folded over kinda. Any idea on about how much it would cost to get fixed?

thanks

One guy I talked to charges $75 an hour...

That dent is pretty small. Looks like it could be a quick fix.

I have a dent like that in my tailgate but it is hard to notice... I don't think anyone else has ever noticed it. I still don't know where the hell it came from.
