Hi subnet:

If you're going with the Klasse, you should go ahead and do the AIO (x1), then the SG [some folks might suggest that you also clay the truck first......your choice, depending on the surface]. The 04/02 date you gave is not an issue, so don't worry about that. Hope you read the AIO/SG posts at autopia carefully, as there are tricks to doing it correctly (you have a black truck, so application/removal mistakes are more easily visible.....but not permanent :-) As you probably know, many folks use multiple coats of SG (2-4 applications, a week or so apart as a suggestion). I've used it in the bed of my 2002 black Lariat 4x4, and it has a nice shine to it. I do use the Sonus QD over Klasse, but it's a bit pricey. The AIO/SG is also a good combination on my cast aluminum wheels and chrome step-ups. However, I don't use AIO/SG on the body of the truck. For the truck body, I prefer to use a carnauba wax for now (I wanted to compare the Klasse vs carnauba on my truck, so the bed got "Klassed"). I've been using p21S wax....great wax, great shine, easy as heck to apply (more or less of a "wipe on, wipe off" deal). Lasts reasonably long in the Texas heat. You should be able to get S100 wax, which I understand is identical to p21S, at a local (motor)cycle shop. If you try that route, you may also want to try the p21S (S100) gloss enhancing paint cleanser (use a few times a year, prior to applying the wax). It's pretty mild stuff (paint cleanser and mild polish) so, as long as the surface is in reasonably good shape, it's not a bad choice. With the p21S/S100 wax, it takes me longer to wash and dry the truck than it does to apply and remove the wax.

Just a few thoughts...........everyone has their favorite detailing stuff.

PS and don't forget the microfiber towels :-)
