Service Engine Soon

Service Engine Soon light is on. I have about 32K miles and am wondering if this just a reminder. I didn't see any fault codes, not sure if there is a problem or what. I did everything that could possibly do for this service interval and hate to take it to a shop just to turn off the light. Any thoughts or tricks to turn it off???

THX.

Try this post in the engines forum and you'll get a lot more replies.... If you'll run by Autozone or your local autoparts store they'll pull the code for you for free. You can post the results in the engines forum and get a response to find out what is necessary to correct the problem. If you just want to clear the code and turn the check engine light off, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. If the check engine light comes back on after you reconnect the battery you'll know you have an issue. It could be anything from something as simple as the gas cap not put on tightly to an oxygen sensor failing or a misfire...
