Intel486 I need some help

I did a little colorsanding this weekend, and I got my scratches out and it looks better. I have a little problem though, I still can see very faintly where I sanded. Its like it isnt polishing out all the way. I am using the Meguiars Deep crystal system steps 1-3, and a Dewalt rotary and a 3m waffle foam pad. I have some heavier pads and some Meguiars Diamond Cut Heavy, and Super Heavy polishing compounds, but I have had trouble with swirl marks in the past. What kind of polish/compound did you use?
Thanks

Yhea, you'll get hazing and swirls with a heavier compound but you need to use it to get the sandpaper marks out. After you use a heavy compound you then come back with a light polish to polish off the swirls and hazing

Thanks

one more thing, what types of compund polishes do you use. And what steps do you take when colorsanding. I read your other post, but if you wouldnt mind breaking it down into a step by step I would really appreciate it. You could even email to me if you rather. joninitro@cableone.net Thanks for your time

I use professional products and have really no clue about heavier cutting consumer products. Meguiar's #9 is really good and I'm sure it can handle taking out 2000 grit sandpaper marks with a little work.

3m products are very good too. I've used their Perfect-It II Rubbing Compound and it took out 2k grit sandpaper marks easily. It left the paint hazed so you had to go back over it with a finer polish.
