Tree sap and sticky pollen

I have no choice but to park in an area where the trees this time of year are dropping sap and pollen that sticks to my truck. It comes off in wash, but I was wondering if there is anything out there that would keep it from adhering to the paint finish in the first place.

If it is fresh, then you can use mayonaise on it to help remove it.

For old tree sap I use a razor blade to chip off the top to see if the inside is still soft. I then use ProSol on the tree sap.
