New Truck, New to Forum
Hello All! I have been lurking here for a few weeks, and have gained a lot of valuble information. Last week I bought my 1st NEW truck, and would like to keep it looking good. I actually want it to look better than it does now. Right now I am using Meguire's products because they are available locally. I have been reading about Zaino, Blackfire, and Klasse. I guess I will eventually try them all. In the past I have never really paid much attention to detailing/polishing etc before. I always had used cars and went with the quick and easy Finish 2000 etc. (As long as water beaded up I was happy) Which of these products is easiest for an inexperienced user? I have a Toreador Red SuperCab, and live in a hot dusty WINDY area. (Texas Panhandle)

DISPENSER4HIRE ...welcome! I'm sure your going to love your truck I know we all love ours, tell us what you've got!
As far as the products you've metioned, they are all very good, respectiable products. Different folks are going to have different opinions, me, I like Zaino. Not sure about any thing being "easiest for an inexperienced user" but the Zaino does give a very nice shine, the more you apply the more it shines. Before you apply any wax/polish I recommend either using a clay bar or getting (I think this is what its called) an acid bath. Both will remove the junk off of the surface of the paint very well.
I would also recommend getting a california duster since you said you live in a dusty area, those things work wonders and keep you from having to wash your truck a hundered times a week.

I am going to use a clay bar, but I will practice on my 93 Taurus. LOL The paint is ok for never having been clayed, cleaned, or polished. If I use that to practice my detailing skills, it will look better, and I will have more skill for my truck. The Meguire's Gold looks pretty good, but I understand it does not last too long. I think I will try the Klasse since most agree it looks great on the darker colors. I will check the local BMW dealer, or order on line.
I have the SuperCab Lariet with no aftermarket goodies yet. I am going to install either a Line-x or Rhino liner soon.
