Where are those Zaino experts.

Let me first thank all that have offered help and assistance so far. As stated before I am not willing to invest a lot of time inthe multiple process. So here is what I am planning.
1) Wash truck with Dawn as instructed
2) Z2 one coat
3) Z6 one coat

Let me know if you think this is a workable plan.

Next major item to discuss. Do I use the ZXF product. The description reads like it is a catalyst, that will cure the polish to allow multiple coats. But I am only going to do the one coat. My question is will it extend the life of the single Z2 coat. I mean if the product lets me keep a Z2 shine for 12 months instead of 6 months, then its worth the $20. If all it does is permit immediate second coats, and/or extends the shine by 10% longer - then I'll keep the $20 for myself. What is your opinion on whether or not I should invest in the ZXF.

thanks again, soon as I get this out of the way I am ready to order.

Speaking of which, is there a less expensive site to order from, or one that has free shipping, other than the Zaino site.

No offense, but if thats your plan for a Zaino treatment, skip it.
I would say the minimum treatment is Z-1 one coat, Z-2 Three coats, and, spme Z-6 somewhere inbetween Z-2 coats.
If you want to shortcut the process, you won't get the desired results. Get some Mothers wax or something instead.
Zaino is available on through Zainobros to the best of my knowledge. i have not tried ZFX, can't help there.

If you want to go the long route start with the Z-1 like Linetest says then only use the Z-5 (Swirl remover). Apply a coat of Z-5 every month and use the Z-6 (Gloss enhancer) inbetween. Only use the Zaino car wash afterwards.

I kinda have to agree with finding an easier wax. Everything I have seen and read about Zaino, is that it is a total SYSTEM that requires multiple coats to optimum results. I would recommend some of the Meguire's or Mother's products if you are looking for decent results coupled with easy application.
I have used Meguire's for years and have been very happy with the results. I am changing to Zaino on my Lightning because I want the ultimate in shine AND I am willing to apply coat after coat to achieve that goal.
I just got my order of Z2, Z5, Z6, and ZFX today. I am trying to find a day where I can spend nearly all day doing it. With the humidity here in FL, even with the ZFX, I am expecting some extended curing times.

Well, I would have to respectfully disagree with some of the post about not having good results with one coat of Z-2. Myself I do agree for the best shine you should do the complete system with multi coats of Z-2.

The reason I disagree is that when I first used Zaino I ordered most of it, the clay, Z-2, Z-6, the car wash Z-?, the tire gloss Z-?. Anyway I didn't have the time the first weekend I began. I washed it with Dawn to begin with, dryed with 100% "made in the usa" towels then applied one coat of Z-2 with the ZFX and then one coat of the Z-6 the gloss shine spray. I have a silver 02 sport and I was totally impressed with the shine it had with just one coat, looked better then anything I had used before. It had a very deep shine just seemed to make the color and metalic in the paint just jump out at you. I even got a few compliments from some people on the shine and how slick it felt.

Now I will say after going back and applying more coats of Z-2 followed by the gloss spray blew me away even more, but the one coat did impress me very much.

The ZFX will not make the polish last longer it is only used to speed the cure time and allow you to apply 2 or 3 coats in one day. Otherwise if you do not use the ZFX you have to wait I think like 6 hours in between coats if the temp is above 70, and a day if below in order for the polish to cure. If your only going to apply one coat then I wouldn't buy the ZFX.

I would say try one coat on a weekend, then the next or a few weekends later try another coat or 2 coats you will be very impressed on the shine if you do use more then one coat and I would think agree it was worth the time.

You dont have to apply all 3 coats in one day or one weekend to get the deep shine. You will get it applying 3 coats in one day or taking a month to do it.
