Does anyone understand which OEM grill comes on which trucks?

I have been looking at trucks lately... (97' and newer)... and I've seen the black diagonal pattern, a black square pattern, a chrome or color-keyed three bar pattern, and on the newest models - an eggcrate pattern.

I'm trying to figure out which grill came on what years/models.. and also if they are interchangeable...
