Lightbulb Little white dots everywhere?

I pressure washed my truck at a touchless place and I suddenly notice hundreds of little white spots on my hood and surrounding areas. It may be overspray? Anyone else have these, some of them come off when I rub them with a terry towel but most dont, anyone know what they are and how to remove them?

Did you hand dry the truck or let it air dry? If you let it air dry then it could be mineral deposits left over after the water drops evaporated.

I let it air dry this time, but only b/c I had to drive home with it wet. That's probably it, do you know a way to remove them?

Can you describe the white dots more or even get a picture of them for us?

If you think they are waterspots you can do several things to get them off. A cleaner wax like Meguiar's #6 will remove them. A paint cleaner like Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion will take the off. A mild polish will take them off like Meguiar's #9 or 3m Swirl Mark Remover.

First off, make sure they're spots and not pits. If they're pits, they're caused by rail dust and acid rain. I had the pits on my '99 and the dealer had to repaint it. If they're spots and it looks like overspray, you need to "clay bar" the paint to lift off the spots.

depending on what the spots look like,

could be soap residue
could be dirt (those touchless places kick up a lot of crap off the floor)
bad wax from the touchless
dust or dirt picked up on the wet parts of the truck on the drive home.

If the dirt landed while the truck was wet, the dirt would need to be rewashed as it would probably be caked on.
