Ive got a locking ford gascap, i think it ran $17 from the Dealer? I guess the gas tank is sensitive to having the cap on properly or not (SES light comes on) so I played it safe and got it from the Ford house.

better to go with the locking cap than the locking door as my wifes truck had the locking door ripped open to get to the tank which is much less likely with a cap

go with the Ford cap. A cheap, cheesy aftermarket locking cap may affect your emissions.

We have an issue with this in Ontario right now as we have had mandatory emissions checks for about 2 years. The gas cap has turned out to be an issue with many needing to replace these.
