Question Wiper BLADE replacement....

My wipers are working great but the passenger side is starting to rip a little. Will Anco refills work with the stock arms? Or do I have to replace the entire thing?
I'm basically wondering if there's any refills that will work?

The blades can be easily refilled. The rubber part slides out after you release the little catch at one end. Most refills will have instructions on how to do it.

BTW, steer clear of Bosch refills. If you're lucky, they'll be streak free for a couple of months. I hasten to add that it's a big IF.

Trico makes a direct replacement refill for the OEM wiper blades. Pep Boys carries them here.

For best results

take an SOS pad (the ones filled with blue "soap" that are made of steel wool) and srub the heck out of the windshield. Be sure to rinse the glass and then clean with you favorite windex type product. Then, replace the wipers. You'll get a wiper system better than new.

I do this once every six months or as needed.

All you need to do is buy the refill. The refill comes with the rubber blade and two thin stainless steel strips of metal per blade.

Just make sure you get the right refill for your year of truck. Double check the length. Might be anywhere from 18 to 22 inches, depending on year.

Also be sure you check to see if you have the standard width blades or the narrow width blades. I bought the standard width and correct length, but got home to put them on and found out I needed the narrow width.

Yes, the ANCO blade only refills do fit. I have them on my Lightning now. Just remove the old blade, KEEP the two silver metal reinforcing things, slide them into the new blades, cut off the extra blade and slide to knew blades back into the arms. Make sure to install them the correct direction.
I have found that the cheap Anco blades work just as good and last about as long as the expensive "premium" blades. The sun here in FL destroys rubber.
