Removal of headrests???

Removal of headrests???

Cousin is trying to put on new seatcovers for his 2001 F150 bucket seats, but he can not remove the headrests! Anybody know how??

As with most headrests, my F150 has those little buttons where the headrest post enters the top of the seat. You have to press the button in toward the steel post while pulling up on the headrest at the same time.

I'm just guessing at this, but most headrests won't come off unless you release a hidden catch. Usually, this catch is in the plastic flange-like mount where the headrest goes into the top of the seat. Usually, there's a slot in the side of the flange where you can stick a thin piece of metal (thin bladed screwdriver should work) inside to release the catch.
