My SUper Duty does the smae thing toward the bottom of the wiper. Ive done everything I can think of to get it resloved but nothing ever worked. I finally just learned to live with it and I live where it rains all day every day. If anyone knows how to fix that Ill send you three dogs and a billy goat as thanks.

It sounds like it might be a glass problem ie; the glass has a slight indention that is causing the wiper to not contact the glass properly. I don't know if that can be fixed short of replacing the windshield.

not having this same problem, but...

Last week during the "Big Snow Storm" my passanger side wiper "bowed" so only the ends of the wiper were touching the glass. After a few days the outside temp warmed up a little and it flattened back out. How odd.

Question

Does it do it when the truck ain't moving or when you are driving at freeway speeds?

Mine will sometimes do it if I'm going over 60mph AND going into the wind. It makes a difference on how hard the wind is blowing too. At least in my case. All other times, my wipers work fine.

Can't imagine what would cause it to do that from a standstill.

hey waturner, not far away, we got the big snow too. When your wiper blade freezes to the shape of the windshield when its down, then when it is nearing vertical position, the shape it needs to be to conform to the windsheild is different. Thats why it does that. So when its parked, it freezes in a bowed shape with the windsheild, then when it get up almost vertical , it needs to be almost flat.

You make it sound like its just not touching the windshield enough.
Try and bend the main arm near the middle in a little this will allow the wiper to maintain good contact with the windshield
