Water leak

My 1997 F150 Supercab has a leak. Only when it rains fairly hard, and only while I'm driving. The water pools on top of the headliner, at the rear slider window. I haven't noticed that water comes in the slider, but there is a draft coming through it. The dealer that I bought the truck from says that this is a common(?!!) problem with 97 F150s. They say that the whole rear window assembly needs to be replaced. To their credit, they said that they could do it, but I could get it done less expensively at a glass repair outfit. Anyone else have, or have had this problem, and fixes?

had the same problem with my '97 regular cab right after i bought it. i didn't have any problems unless it rained really hard. i first realized it when i cruised through the carwash. fortunatly i was still under warranty and they replaced the entire back window new glass and everything. good luck.
