2005 F150 Wet sand or compound?

Hello, been a while since I’ve posted. I have some spots on the roof that was from tree sap, and few spots of something that got on the paint, and a scratch. Was wondering if you guys thought I should do a light wet sand for this or try some compound on a buffer? Thanks in advance

I know it's been awhile since this was posted, but for future.......

IMHO, no on the wet sanding with regards to oem paint... as it (the clear coat) is very thin to start with and if the clear gets down to 3 mil thickness, the paint is essentially gone at that point. May I suggest mineral spirits for a cleaner, acetone IF you need to get more aggressive (but rinse with water immediately) and then polish starting with a little more aggressive product like 3M finesse II and then move to a finer polish.
