Clay Bar

I bought the Mothers Kit for $20 and I was pleased with the results. When the clay bar needs replacing I am not going to buy a $20 kit again. I have bought Non drying clay bar from Wal Mart and will use Detailers Wax for the lubricant. Should work fine and cost about $7.

Who is the manufacturer of the non drying clay bar that you mentioned? I want to find one at my local Wal-Mart.

Angry

I scoped out my local Wally World tonight and they did'nt have any clay bars.

A bird dropped it's load on my Screw and i didnt get to it in time and it has gotten under the paint. I stood in Wal-Mart waiting for something to jump out at me and say, "I'm the right thing for that"! No such luck. Makes me wanna kill every bird i see!!!

Crum,

That has to come off. Go out and get some Turtle Wax rubbing compund HEAVY DUTY (the red can). It will leave swirl marks if you are not VERY vareful. But rub some of that on the spot, then work at it with a pressure washer. If that still doesn't work go at it with some type of product that is made to remove tree sap, they usually work really good as well. last of all, be sure you wax that spot after you are done.

Unhappy

Welllllllll, I bought some bug and tar remover, it got some off. I also got some TW polishing compound and it got alittle more. The spot is as smooth as a baby's bottom, but you can still see it in paint. This sucks!

Why don't you just take it to a professional and get it done correctly? I recently had my SCrew hand waxed and detailed and it was only $100! Got all the crap off also!

Modeling clay is not recommended. Most have grit and are not made for cleaning paint.

I had not considered the grit and will not be using the Wal Mart Clay. Saving 20 bucks on clay and ruining a $5000 paint job is not good

I've had some nasty things fall down on my truck including tree sap and paint overspray. Zaino's Claybar (Z-18) took it all off.

Neat stuff.
