I ONLY use Meguiar's products (Liquid Glass also). I saw these 2 products at WM just recently and was curious about them. I had never seen or even knew TW made these.
I don't know about that stuff, never used them. And this really comes down to personal preference. Over the years I have tried and still like Meguires stuff, and I use the detailer almost daily on the truck. I use the chrome detailer and foam wheel on my rims and love it. I've used Mothers before and like their products. And I've used a whole host of other brands of waxes and polishes. But I always come back to good ole Turtle Wax. It goes on easy and smooth, dries quickly and wipes off nicely without a lot of hard buffing. When people ask me what I used to get such a deep glossy shine, they step back when I say Turtle Wax
. And I love the spray bug and tar remover. I used that stuff to remove pine needles and sap off of the truck and T'bird after that bad storm last June. But, the turtle wax ice, I remember the buzz when it first came out. I tried it on a fender of my '94 T'bird, and I hated it on the paint. It seemed to never dry enough to a haze that could be buffed. It just seemed to smear and really make a mess. So I cleaned it off the fender and the bottle sat in the basement. After a year or so one day I looked at it and the color went from clear to yellow. Back in April I waxed the truck and was looking for something easy to use on the plastic trim and rubber. You know how wax effects that. I remembered that the Ice was suppose to be able to be used on it all. So I went and bought a fresh bottle and tried it on the housings of my PIAA HID's. Went on easy and didn't leave a residue that I could see. So then I put it on the rest of the trim, mirrors, running boards and mud guards. It removed the wax residue and gave it a nice gleam. A couple weeks ago it was time again for a cleaning and wax. With a bad back I usually take my time and do it over several days. I take regular breaks and usually sit in a chair when doing the sides. The third day was waxing the roof and doing the black trim and chrome. Doing the black trim with the Ice was easier than the waxing. So, I like regular Turtle wax, the spray bug and tar remover, and Ice for plastic trim....
