i have the factory chrome step bars on my 08 that came as part of the chrome package. is the corrosion worth messing with or is it a lost cause. my wife wants me to keep them on but with the way they look i want to take them off. i was thinking about using chrome polish on a 4" buffer but am looking for suggestions.

 

You can try polishing with chrome polish and it will make that area look better. However, since the chrome plating has been perforated, the corrosion will return fairly quickly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
