Clay question
I have a black 08 F150 which had swirl/halogram marks up and down the entire truck prior to me purchasing. I paid an excellent detailer who removed everything and all looks fantastic.
But, That was over a year ago. I would like to clay now. Would claying undo all the paint correction that was done by the detailer?
Thanks.

nope....it wouldn't....one of the primary uses of clay is to get the contaminants out of the paint....so when its time to wax those contaminants don't get caught in the pad and cause more scratches...
This is part of GLC's post (Correct) but to point it out.
Claying can induce marring ( marring not swirls / holograms ).
Might be very small / non existent or it might be more noticeable.
Not a rule by any means, but generally speaking if you are going to put clay on the paint, you are going to do some sort of polish.
Might only be a finish polish or something with a but more bite ( or swap out the pad for something more aggressive if it is a chemical polish ).
When you get done with the clay, you might notice something that looks like spider webs on the paint, that are only noticeable in the sun at the correct angle.
Just keep it in mind if it does happen.
Does the surface need to be clayed ? ( plastic bag test ) ?
Are you sure there was not glaze put under sealant when it was done before ?
