Cleaning vinyl interior
2007 F150 XL
Since I became disabled a few months ago it's been awhile since I've cleaned my vinyl interior. The arm rest and center console have become somewhat dirty from my sweaty arms.I was thinking about using Simple Green and a small scrub brush to clean them.Is this a good selection or what? Any advice is greatly appreciated.BTW,I want to be able to purchase items locally,i.e,Wal-Mart or any auto parts stores.

I use this for light cleaning and can be found at Wal-Mart: http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...iler%E2%84%A2/
Otherwise for tougher jobs find some Meguiars #40 which also protects.
What you want to keep in mind if using any product which cleans only is to follow that up with a protectant and preferably one that has UV protection.

Megs QID is very good for what it is and does have some UV protection. It's not oily or glossy, it leaves a nice matte finish. However, as you said it's only good for light cleaning.
It would be a good product to use after that Lexol cleaner.

Just thought I'd mention another Megs product I have recently been using with great results.
It's called Ultimate Protectant, which comes in a spray(my choice) or lotion. This is not a cleaner, but you won't find anything in the Megs lineup that lasts or protects vinyl or plastic any better.
One note on application: Make sure to work the product into the surface well as you would wax onto paint with a foam applicator. The more you work it in the better the outcome and dries to touch.
